The God Mockers
Justice is blind for some.It is September 28, 2009 and world renowned film maker Roman Polankski has been arrested on a warrant from the US dating back from 1976. He is accused of unlawful sexual intercourse with a 13 year old girl. He pled guilty to this charge but fled the country before he could start serving his time for this offence.
Polanski is finding great support for his cause among the French people who have harbored this fugitive since he fled the US.

Conformity vs Truth
To conform is not the Christian way.I remember a conversation that took place one evening between two brothers in the church, one of whom was attending a CR group at the time. The first man took issue with a statement made by the second to the effect that "all addicts were liars." It seemed that from his perspective a blanket statement of this sort labeling all who struggle with addiction, was unfair and judgemental. The second brother endeavored to explain that his opinion in great part was based on his own past experience as a drug abuser, but to no avail.  And after several minutes of back and forth debate the matter was eventually dropped, leaving me to wonder which of the two opinions best served the christian cause.

Sola Scriptura
A very old BibleThe Protestant reformers of the sixteenth century sought to rightly order the priorities of the church. Their efforts have greatly influenced and shaped the church since that time. Amongst their contributions were the themes Sola Fide, Sola Gracia, Sola Scriptura, Solus Christus, and Sola Gloria Deo. Faith alone, Grace alone, Scripture alone, Christ alone, and the Glory of God alone.

Making Your Mark - Willingness To Change
Prehistoric Fossilized FootprintI recently came back from the Berkshires where I took the family to visit the Berkshire Museum (http://www.berkshiremuseum.org/) A part of one of the exhibits is a piece of fossilized clay that has the foot prints of a small dinosaur still visible. I couldn't stop looking at the piece of clay. Here was a set of prints from a creature that had lived millions of years ago.
