My Heart Wasn’t Ready To Change hmullan Apr 29 : 17:38
![]() I first came to the Chemical Recovery Ministry two years ago when I was trying to get my life together and quit using drugs and alcohol. ![]() Last year in 2010 I started studying the bible and found that with my addiction I needed to be around people who were mature in recovery and could relate to me. The ministry met my spiritual needs as a young Christian. Brothers knew my mind and could easily relate to everything I was going through. When I was struggling, brothers spoke the truth in love to me and set me straight from wandering off.
I got wise guidance and felt comforted and not judged by everyone’s empathy. Brothers held me accountable, and God used them to help me understand my addiction better. Going to the group helped me learn how to change issues in my life that were as a result of my addiction. CR is different to me than any other group because Gods Word is the authority of the group. God used the people in this ministry to help transform my life, and God will do the same for you. Without the group it would be hard for me to grow spiritually. The Chemical Recovery ministry for me is essential in my recovery from addiction and in my relationship with God. God uses this ministry for addicts to fellowship, be united and save others lives. We have a very different bond as addicts and need to be around one another. If you struggle with a drug or alcohol addiction then Chemical Recovery is where you need to be. |
